I found this image in a CMYK magazine. It acts as a contents page for the magazine issue. Not only does the piece work as a whole but it also works as individual elements. This is because each individual type face is a strong design element by itself with the use of a dominant figure as a title and the subdominant and subordinant pieces undernieth. The piece works as a whole because every type face has a hand drawn look that makes the entire page fit togetether. Also, the entire piece varies the size of the different type faces which makes the entire page interesting to look at along with the variations in color and the slight variation of the hand written type faces.Friday, October 22, 2010

I found this image is a CMYK magazing issue dedicated to typography. This piece is done for a company that ships your luggage safe and soundly to its destination for you. This piece is visually interesting because the type acts as a visual replacement for steps or stairs that the luggage is falling down which is what the entire piece is about. The type its self is intersting because it verries in size and boldness and it has a nice shaddow gradient on it that makes it look 3D.
